Child Care Education Program

Department of Human Development and Family Studies

  • Open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. except during scheduled closings for university holidays and teacher workdays
  • Total enrollment of 85 children ages 3 months to 5 years
  • Located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 3 separate locations: North Drive Child Care Center, Brent Woodson Carter Center, and Curry Child Care Center
  • Each location is an individually licensed center and has been issued a 5 Star License by the Division of Child Development and Early Education with the State of North Carolina
  • The Child Care Education Program has been awarded accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children
  • Each of our six classrooms employs 2 degreed teachers and a student intern/employee
  • Preschool classrooms (ages 3-5yrs) have 17-18 children;  Toddler classrooms (ages 12-36 months) have 10-12 children; and the Infant classroom (ages 3-12 months) has 8 children
  • CCEP provides 2 well-balanced snacks each day and 3 catered lunches each week for the older toddler and preschool classrooms.  Parents provide individually appropriate food for the infants and bag lunches for the young toddlers each day.
